Hearing and reading about the available campsites for the years BBTB being limited. Not sure if that is
correct, as I made my reservation the other day. Here is the info for the campground and the dates are
Sept. 6-7, 2013
http://www.salmonfallsriverrvresort.com/
Salmon Falls River RV Resort
44 Natural High Rd
Lebanon, ME 04027
207-339-8888
From their site, it looks as this place is very nice! Seems to be a camping resort with a lazy river and a
Olympic sized indoor pool, with a couple of dog parks as well.
Hope to see some of my North East friends there!! _________________ '15 Audi A3 Quattro

I have been waiting on a thread with a few mre details....
Does anyone know what this is about.....it's a bit of a hike for me....but I'd really like this to be my first official Westy event in my van...
Whats the best thing? Whats the worst thing?
Is it non stop action? Or simply a gathering and show and tell....
I looked for it on google and got older stuff.....who has been there?
Convince me to go.....(it will be an easy sell)

Andrew I have been to several BBTB. It is a campout first and foremost. The organizers have an itinerary but
its not nonstop action. They have a scavenger hunt for the kids, a raffle drawing on Sat night as well as a lobster
dinner (which is an added cost if you want to partake? These can turn into a show and tell, which seems only fair.
Everyone has questions about peoples Westys etc.. Hey, how did you hook up that solar panel and what other
conponents does it have, for example.
Most of the time I will spend with friends, talking eating and drinking adult beverages and discussing the most
important thing.......VW's!
On the Sunday we all say goodbye alot but not all of the owners will line up their buses and caravan to some location
only know by the organizers. Once we arrive at this location, we will line up our buses for a photo-op and
get a group photo as well. At this time a full size bouy that all the campout visitors have signed at registration
will be drawn off. The winner has to be present at the caravan and they only ask you to attend BBTB's in
the future and show off your bouy!
I am really looking forward to this event, my buddy will be bringing his turkey fryer so there plenty of
healthy foods cooked!! Did I mention bring some of that Garrison Rasp Beer? Pretty tasty stuff!!
Look forward to seeing you there!
Tim

Sounds like a plan Tim...
I will see if I can get clearance from the tower to go on my own as my wife's work schedule is not as flexible as mine....
If I do make the trek I will bring some Garrison in return for some turkey...
I will decide shortly...Its a long haul....but deep fried turkey is a good motivator.

Bring Nova Scotian Poutine (not that crazy Québécois version), or Rappiepie! I'll pay you for it and offer cigars and great port!

you either have to slow down or get that bus dialled in. Don't forget gas is quite a bit cheaper in the US...and so is the beer _________________ '84 Westy - 2.2wbx, GT Torque-Biasing Differential

Have fun and hopefully next year _________________ 84 Westfalia Vanagon

Thank you all for a great time.
Janice's beer flavored water and yes Jennifer is still doing well. No Tim I don't do Facebook. Who passed out in my site by the fire? Drunken bicycling should be a major spectator sport.
The laughs were plentiful, the new stuff that went home with us (the shelf rocks Tom, and Tim thanks for the sign), some folks flirting with my wife (male and female) , the great lobster and steamer feast last night, new friends made, other friendships strengthened.
Nicely planned event. When does the caravan start?
Thank you all. _________________ Its a mistress; an expensive, whiney, needy bitch of a mistress. She is a chunky, dirty girl with bad skin, little motivation and yet she always makes me smile.
