Which is easier. Need outer cv boot and speedo drive gear replaced, can't get the pin out and don't want to bugger it up also re-pack left axle, insp boots. Looks like dropping front diff would be easier, comments(actually doing above) ???'86 syncro.

depending upon how you do so, I would mark where the mounting parts are in relation to the subframe.
this makes reassembly and eliminating vibrations much easier.

Thanks, think i will drop the diff, skid stuff and drive shaft already out for a joint replace, also a motorcycle jack that comes in handy 4 stuff like this, engines, rear end of my Geo awhile back.
