Closing all that up will certainly make things a lot safer and at the same time a lot more enjoyable as you won't have dirt, sand and water being sprayed up on you off the front tires all the time.

You mean the rear of the m/c - outside the original vehicle? I plan to use 3/16" check plate like the floor. If the m/c is offset forward to slide in the sheet down to the frame head, then the brake rod will not be long enough.

But that's a good idea - I could slide it down to the rear of the hat and use bolts 5 ~ 10 mm longer to re-attach the m/c.

All was OK as is until my wife stuck her foot onto the RF tire going down the road. And you know the saying - if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Why not just make an easy template to go over the tunnel? Then remove the master cylinder bolts and slip the template down between the napoleon hat and the master cylinder. That way your fire wall can go all the way down to the floor of the frame head and the master will help hold it in place.

Does anyone have a template or measurements for the pictured area below you can share? I am trying to avoid trial and error. I want to put in a firewall on this buggy.
