That's definitely the cruise control unit, so someone either removed the rest of the CC or they decided to add the ECU to eff with someone down the line. _________________ Casey--

Interesting. I'll have to check if the rest of the system is there. Weird though. _________________ '90 Little Blue Truck, 2WD auto, FAS GenV 2.0 NA (AVH) |

If your van has lots of power options, then there's a good chance it originally had CC. It's a really nice feature...when it works. _________________ Casey--

The perfect definition of a power featured thing. _________________ '90 Little Blue Truck, 2WD auto, FAS GenV 2.0 NA (AVH) |

The "four thing connector" connects to the vehicle speed sensor on the speedometer. See if your speedometer has the VSS on it. I added a hybrid VSS on my van:

I have a 1987 doka with the 1.6 TD. Without a good shop manual for this motor my question is more about "what part is missing?" on this manifold vent. Any ideas?

That’s what my brother was thinking. When I was troubleshooting my van for a no start he was asking me if there was any kind of diagnostic we can do other than the Bentley troubleshooting. According the everything I’ve read there isn’t for the early 80’s vans. We also looked into what that little black and silver plug was on the dash in front of the passenger seat. Apparently it’s a plug for a heated jacket? Lol. |
