Seller is not a registered user of The Samba. He responded to my WTB ad, outside of using the contact advertiser link on the ad.

He claimed to have the part I am looking for and was quick to ask for payment. He provided a photo as requested. He then claimed he had just had surgery on his hands and was unable to prove the photo was current by providing an additional photo with a piece of paper with his name and the date written on it. We conducted a reverse image search which showed the image was from another member's post from 2017.

No money changed hands in this instance, but warning other buyers who might get caught up with this seller.

This sounds like a scammer using photos stolen off the Internet, it has become a little more common for this to happen lately.
