I have a WTB ad for an Iltis.
"james" says he has one. In the course of our emails, he sends nine pics and a description. He doesn't "have the time" to meet in person despite my willingness to conform to his schedule and fly to Las Vegas or Pasadena (the two locations he gives).
There is more to the conversations but the above is the essence. The kicker is I decide to go to a site where one like he is supposedly selling was sold a couple years ago. Lo and behold, all nine pics were at this site as was the itemized description he gave as his own. (The funny thing is this was a Swiss site and the description used far better English than "james" when he was writing on his own.)
Everett says he is a known scammer, but I could not find him listed as such or in the feedback forum ... so here it is.

And I learned another thing from Everett via email I should add -- this guy goes by "james" with his initial contact at the email I mentioned in the first post. However, his username that has been banned and labeled as SCAMMER is "jonjo."
There is a username "james" who signed on in 2003 but hasn't logged in or posted since 2005. It is not him (I don't think).
Anyway, be careful as per all the warnings and advice on this site, and keep looking out for each other.

Yes, he used "James" in his email but this would be the same as me using "Everett Barnes" when I email sellers instead of my username "EverettB".
Which I do sometimes - the default is for the contact form to show your username but you can change it if desired.
His banned username is jonjo.
