Is there a way to tell the difference between a 1200 and a 1300-1600 muffler by looking at them. I understand that they are not interchangeable but what is the difference? I see lots of vw mufflers that look similar on CL and ebay but without knowing how to tell the difference it may not fit. Is it a visual difference or does one need to take some measurement? Thanks

Measurement between the pipes is wider on the longer-stroke 1600s.
