Today I set myself up like one of those car build shows with high drama to get it painted on a deadline. The sealer has a 4 day window to paint. I work full time and the wife has to travel for work this week. In the next three days I am getting an MRI on the knee, driving on a field trip, and shuttling kids to little league and basketball each evening. Plus, this bus is going to get painted (by me) so I don't have to sand it again!!!

Some orange peel but nothing too bad. The goal is a nice driver. I can't believe I forgot to change out of my brand new shoes!!!

Choice! What did you use to evacuate the overspray/fumes?

I have a 20x20 Walmart fan pushing air through a 25x25 home filter. Then I have 2 x $19.99 home depot bathroom fans pulling the air out of the garage. It works well considering this is not a pro paint booth.

HAHA that's how my bus painting went too! She is looking fresh though. Good job.

Focusing on getting this thing rolling now. The front end is about done, the transmission is at the re-builder. Besides blasting this will be the only part of the project outsourced I think (trans).

OK 2.5 months in waiting but my rebuilt transmission is finally here! The bus is on the ground for the first time in a LONG time!

There are some cheep external parts on the engine I plan to replace but I need to use this stuff for now in order to get this going.

Looks pretty amazing for a "Nice Driver" that you were going for. I can't wait to see it outside under its own power. Cool

Thanks for the great lead into this. It drove it outside for the first time. Tomorrow the VIN verification company comes. Best part is the boys are excited!
