It's my birthday!!! My supervisor called this morning and have me the day off. Oh yea! I just finished loading up the bus and I'm going to Fruita, Co to camp and do some mountain biking.
My wife gave me a weekend hall pass so its party time with my buddy Johnathan.
It should be about a 200 mile drive north over 3 mountain passes.
Bus has fresh oil and I just adjusted the valves and points. Ill be posting pics thru out the weekend. Thanks for reading.

What an awesome day! Weather is perfect and not a cloud in the sky. Much better then all the rain we have been getting around here. Bone bus is running strong. No problem climbing the passes. Here are some pics.
I stopped on Molas pass and got this one

Ah,I just went for a mtn. bike ride this morning, then took my 74 bus out for a little jaunt across town. Mine doesn't run super sound though. I'd love to get it running good enough that I could do a little trip like this. I'd be stoked!
Have fun while you're out there.

What a great b-day. I rolled into the Kokopelli trails Trl head at 420. So great! I went and rode Mary's Trl to webber to horsethief bench Trl. Awesome, my new Moab and I don't have to leave the state.
I then drove to the 18 Rd trails Trl head. I found awesome free primitive camping 1/4 mile from the Trl head. The site I found even had a bunch of wood at it, I didn't even think about it. It's bacically a desert here.
Ingot plenty of time on my hands, cell service and a bottle of tequila. There will be a lot of pics. Thanks for hanging out.

My healer fonz, soaking up the air.

My Colorado memories of 1977 and 1987 are still sharp, vivid and alive.
