Any help in direction finding all the mounting screws for head lights tail lights and bumpers? Or is many trips to the hardware store?

I've run into the same problem while restoring my wife's 69 auto stick. Takes some time but I've found searching various parts catalogs, such as House of Ghia, Cip1, Airhead, etc. sometime helps determining the size of the screws, nuts, bolts that I need because they got misplaced during disassembly.

In fact, I just did that earler today to find the size of the screw that holds the air vent grill in place.

Airhead parts is pretty good. Just use their search function. "Ghia screw" brings up all kinds of screws for your car.
I probably wouldn't put that search term into google though Laughing

The VW parts book, which you can download here, has a list of all the scews. Some vendors keep similar if not the same part numbers. The exploded diagrams, though not quite detailed as a machine drawing, are a good guide too.
