I'm tired of using floor jacks and crawling under my Thing. Anyone out there using a more professional grade hydraulic power lift? I was looking at a portable BendPak scissor lift - because I don't really want to give up the space for a permanent 2-post lift.
Here is a link

The two or four post variety seems studier - but more expensive and they would take up so much space in my garage!

I have been using my snap-on scissor lift for about 15 years now, I actually had the model that was a step down from the one I own now first. These are great lifts for air cooled VW's ( the reason I bought it to begin with) they are also great for regular vehicles for brakes, tires, suspension, body, engines and trans, etc. Also, mine has a solid top so it's a GREAT height adjustable work table !! It is twin hydraulic, lifts 6,500lbs 52" high and is plenty sturdy. Post lifts are great too, but if you want to do paint and body repair the posts get in the way. You can also park over it like its not even there. _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

I've had a bendpak midrise scissor lift for a while now. It works great, and is quite useful even if you have only a 2 car agrage. I have an 11' ceiling in my garage, and I can lift busses all the way on a mid rise. Great for maint. work and pullling engines and such. _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.
