Grant had great and very quick communication. Figured out shipping options, was fair and product was as described. He gives me faith in other payment options besides paypal. Thanks again! |

I have bought numerous parts from Grant over the years. He has always given me good deals and he had the hard to find parts. I would never hesitate doing business with Grant. _________________ AKA Destroyer of the Rants...... |

If you are peeking in here to decide on whether to do business with Grant Driggers then I have some information for you. Here is the short and the long of dealing with Grant Driggers.
SHORT Version: If you plan to buy from this guy, he'll more than likely become your parts/vehicle dealer and also your friend.
LONG Version: It's not a hobby.... it's a lifestyle and G. Driggers lives it to the fullest. Hi, My name is Jerad and I have an addiction. That addiction is VOLKSWAGEN. My dealer is Grant. I'll rewind the timeline to almost 10 years ago. I was searching TheSamba.com for a deal on a 66 Beetle to match my own 1966 Sea Blue Beetle for someone I was with that would never end up matching me. I hunted and searched and watched. Finally saw an ad for a complete 66. I met Erik J. who was running the ads because Grant didn't do internet. <------ Ha ha ha in hindsight. Erik J. met up with me and escorted me to the Grant Stash of VW and I got to meet him and some of his friends that I would later get to know quite well. We struck a deal and I spotted a little 65 Karmann Ghia that I decided that I'd like to have. Grant worked a sweet deal for me on both cars. We had discussed VW Shows and he mentioned that he was going to vend parts at Bug Jam. Heck I'd been there before so I knew I'd get to see him and his buddies again. As time would have it the VOLKSWAGEN Infection began to set in quite heavily. Eventually I was making regular trips northward and taking friends with me. Grant offered good deals and above all usually pitched in a couple extras to help anyone out in getting their project or dream another step closer to the road. It wasn't just me he helped. I've seen him do it with just about everyone including total strangers. I hear a line regularly at shows come out of his mouth.... "Here take this too you'll need this too." or "I don't have one here but I'll ship one to you." as well as "Call me I'll tell you what you need to do." I can't tell you how many times I've called Grant to get that 2nd opinion and he helps out without hesitation. He's never seemed to be bothered by multiple phone calls for tech from a car or a part I bought from him. Dropping down the list going quickly of the cars after the Ghia. There was then a Rail Buggy, Dune Buggy, parts car 66, half of another car, 59 Panel Bus, Late Fat Chick Parts Car, Shorty Splitty Bus. And then some jerk decided to crash into my beloved 1966 Sea Blue Beetle. What a mess. I had been bugging Grant about a Patina Ragtop Beetle he had. The accident kinda through a wrench in the gears at that time. Grant held out for me. After 10 months of dealing with stuff and having to have picked up a truck as a daily driver, Grant began to hammer me about getting back into an aircooled VW. It's good to hear phrases like "Hey man... I'll work with you". Really I asked myself? You could have a buyer come buy that Ragtop Beetle at any time to fatten your own pocket and you're going to make sure that I'm going to be able to enjoy myself in not just a VW but a Ragtop VW! What a dude. Almost a year into driving the heck out of the Ragtop I started popping out of 4th gear. Yes it's not the end of the world for then trans but I didn't want to wear out the trans any worse. I'd like to get it repaired and just wanted to minimize the internal wear. So due to that I was back to driving a truck while waiting on a Freeway Flyer Trans. I ordered it through a VW friend I met because of knowing Grant. One of our favorite shows was coming up and I was going to not have a VW to drive. What to do?!? Well there it is Wednesday and Grant was coming though Friday night heading to the Daytona No Dough Bus Show. I call Grant and simply say... "Hey man do you still have the Ghia tagged and insured?" I here, "Yes. Why do you want to come get it?" Well my intentions are that I really just wanted to have a VW to drive to the show. I also hear come from the other end of the phone line, "You wanna buy it? I'll work a good deal with you." Grant then tells me that he'll change the oil and adjust the valves for me to pick it up the next afternoon. I just this past week swapped my tag onto the car after driving the Ghia for the last 2 months on his tag. I still have some paying and swapping to do before the debt is totally satisfied but I drive it every day like it's been mine for 10 years. It's no trailer queen for certain but it's AWESOME. I know this is more than most people will want to read but a lot of folks come here to judge character to decided on whether to do business or not. I'm glad I chose to do business with Grant. Pay for the parts and the cars and get the friendship for free. _________________ ........... _╒═══╕_JimDandy.and.EMPI-Titelock.

Purchased a Troy,NY AAA License plate from Grant. I currently live in Troy so as soon as I saw it I jumped on it, hoping to get it before anyone else. Grant replied very quickly and we set up payment and shipping.
He was very easy to communicate with and the transaction went smoothly. Will buy from again _________________ My 1968 1600SP build:

I purchased a front driver's side panel from Grant. The cut was perfect and the donor was perfect. There was some miscalculation in shipping, but Grant shipped it anyways. Maybe one of the best people I've dealt with in a long time.
Thank you Grant! |

Hey working with Grant was great. He was responsive on my questions and provided needed detail to help me make my purchase. His shipping costs were right on the mark. I ordered a complete Fuel Injection system to re-install in my daughters Super Beettle and got all that he showed and more. The original order showed a part that was damaged but he found a couple replacements and included them in the deal. Oh yeah, he also provided a front bumper bracket for the 78 as we need to display both plates in WA. Look forward to searching his adds or asking for support in the future.
PS I have looked at adds since my buy and know I got a good deal as many of the individual parts come in close to half or more of the total purchase I made. |

I just bought a dashboard for my '75 westy from out of state. It took a little bit to get pictures and coordinate things, but he was responsive. The price was very reasonable. I've seen dashes posted on thesamba for $500-600 that still had cracks in them, with mine being crack-free and MUCH cheaper. Also, it was protected/packaged very nicely. I would buy from him again. _________________ Bill

Where do I start in describing what it is like doing business with Grant Driggers? I had no idea what to expect while driving out to his shop to meet him, we just moved here about a year ago and we don't know anyone here at all. Within 2 minutes of talking to him, I liked him...he was kind, patient...and understanding that my son and I are new to the VW scene, but my son is very passionate about learning, and as his father it gives me a chance to bond with my kid...and being a computer guy by trade...mechanics is not my forte'...but I am learning and I am not giving up because it is important to my kid. Yes it has been hard work, often times painful and super frustrating...but Grant...he has a way of reassuring you that it will be all right. We recently found ourselves in a super bad pickle, and Grant went way above and beyond in helping us get the car to his shop. We arranged a time to get together at a later date that would work for everyone, that date came and we got to work. Grant and his son stood by us every step of the way, stepping in where needed when we were outmatched, offered guidance and spent time educating us on how things work and why we were doing what we were doing. Some new issues popped up while working on the car, and new parts were recommended...which I bought immediately because I trust Grant...and that is the point I want to drive home to EVERYONE...you can TRUST Grant! He is not going to steer you wrong, and he is not going to gouge you on prices, his prices are very fair...sometimes you have to reach into your pocket and spend the extra money because the timing is just there...if you got it out or are touching the part that needs replaced...just replace it if he tells you, Grant isn't going to lie to just sell you a part. I will not buy parts from anywhere or anyone else unless he tells me where I need to get the part from. And if he isn't able to help fix it, he knows who can...and those people you can also trust. Grant and his son CARE about people, and the VW brand. It is not a hobby for them, it is a lifestyle...it is about community...and that my friends is what sets him apart. His payment options are not unreasonable, Paypal is not necessary in my opinion...take the time to either visit him yourself and bring the cash, or you can be rest assured your cashiers check or postal money order will be accepted and you will receive your parts! Grant is a class act!!! |

I have no idea if I am leaving feedback in the right place or not. For whoever reads this, I would like to say that Grant Driggers (71single) is absolutely honest and drama free. I bought some wheels from him. They were a good price, showed up in good condition (better than I was expecting) and he even sent me the tracking info. What a cool dude to deal with. It is nice to deal with a total stranger who ended up being real stand up guy. I would buy from him again any day of the week. Thanks! |
