The Adventure Campers were made from 68 to 73. Before 73 the original owner of the company sold off his part as it was getting big (national dealer exposure) and he didnt like where it was going. By 73 Adventure Campers went bankrupt. But by 74 That same guy went back to his roots and started Adventurewagen near Fort Bragg in Cali. Quality and limited-pre ordered units were built once again. I belive the company kept going through part of the 80s.
I have to ask my old VW buddy again to tell me his story as he knew the owner. I did read something along these lines in one of the camper books too. Here in San Antonio-my old VW buddy has a compleet one rotting away in his yard. Ill have to get some shots of it. |
I noticed that my early brochure spells it Adventurewagon and the later brochures spell it Adventurewagen. Is this due to the company changing hands and them back again to the original guy? |

[quote="Trailjunky"]It looks like this thread has become the official place for camper brochures and I've been wanting to share mine. I've collected all the other brochure pictures I've found here on the Samba and haven't seen the ones I have. I recently got this nice Adventure Campers, Inc. brochure from Samba member Ned free of charge. Thanks Ned!
