Thought I would finally post my buggy build. It is a Berrien 105 inch frame, 1835 with 002 trans, 3x3 rears with 930 cv's, +6 front beam with 2x1 arms. Started out a piece of crap I picked up for 300 bucks. Hoping to be done before next season.

Woo hoo a 4105 build. I'm going to be building a Berrien 4105 or Cruiser. Can't decide on the 105" or 112" wheelbase. I'll be following this build closely.

By the way, where did you get your front beam? Looks like a MRD Beam!

I know someone with a 112 inch frame just seems too bulky for me. Mine will be a two seater with an aluminum storage box built in behind the seats. If you are going with 4 seats though, you definitely need longer than 105. Every 4105 4 seater I have seen are very cramped in the back.

I'm not sure what brand my front beam is, I got it from a buddy of mine. I think he said it was by Dan Bordo or something like that.

Yeah I'm definitely building a four seater. I already have a two seater, I'm just planning for future kids. I figured I would start building now! My friend owns MRD BUGGIE he is located right here in highland Mi it looks a lot like his beam but there are others like it. I just thought it might be his cause I noticed your right in flint. Good luck with the build, I'll be keeping my eye on it!

Got my rear shocks today. Bilstein 7100's. Built the shock mounts and got them installed, seem like they are going to work good. The rear end is stiff as hell now. I'm running 26mm torsion bars.

Nah, thats not going to be to stiff. 26mm and 3x3's is pretty similar to stock arms and bars Wink

I'm loving the Berrien. I always loved Berrien frames. Classics.

Installed the reinforcement kit on my spindles. Still have to drill them out and ream them for Ford ends.

Got the spindles opened up for Ford ends. When you don't have a good way to clamp the spindle to the drill press this is a very difficult task. Now they are installed with no springs so I can finish setting up my hook and rod stops.

His number is located on his Facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/mrdbuggie/about

He is a smaller operation but specializes in suspension and performance engine work. Very knowledgeable!

Time to change the link pin bushings. The guy I know with a press is up north so I picked a 12 ton press up at Harbor Freight for $129. Definitely worth the money, works good.

Made some press tools at work to push the pin bushings out and in with little effort. Just press till it stops and it's good.
