Waldi, I agree with you, this thread isn't a " everything scoop" thread, as much as, "here is how I made my scoops, maybe I will sell them." Its the grey areas in the rules on the forums that create a lot of problems.

If the MODERATOR wants to take the time to collect and put all the "scoop" topics into one thread, and later someone made another thread discussing scoops, then the moderator would have the right to move that discussion into the already existent thread. Short of that, moving your thread is heavy handed and confusing.

Scoops can be ordered over www.bullihutzen.de or you order over me.

To avoid the shipping costs for every set, it would be good if somebody buys 20 or 50 sets.

Was a price mentioned. How about shipping. Do they fit ALL Vanagons. Come with installation instructions.

The only thing to fix it you need the clew (chassis clew) and a plastic strip istead of the rear screw.

Had a go at the $5 Home Depot scoop.

Recently installed a 10c oil cooler at the bottom of the D-pillar. Using gauges, I monitored my temps and oil pressure for a couple weeks. Temps were a steady 180*f <55mph. At freeway speeds (55+) I saw a spike of a bout 20*f.

I live in the van and frequently travel long distances. In an effort to curtail high temps and low OP at freeway speeds, I rigged up a scoop with the hopes that it would keep my freeway temps close to 180*.

Anecdotally, the scoop performs fantastically... On a long highway run, my temps never got above 185*f, whereas without the scoop I usually see ~210-220*f.

However, more data needs to be collected to be sure that the scoop is doing anything whatsoever. It's been cooler out here on the CA coast than normal, and one data point does not a definitive conclusion make.

I'm pretty stoked that I may have significantly decreased my freeway temps though... Will follow up after more driving.

Took a bit of wrangling to get the shape close to what I want. Ain't the prettiest piece of fabrication. I didn't do it for sexy though... Utility is the name of the game.

That is interesting as the material Eric's stuff is made of is top notch. I will ask him about that one.

What a different look compared to the German version. This looks so much more OEM.
