Absolutely incredible workmanship and vision for the end result!
Most would cringe (including me) and walk away.
One thing I just noticed. It appears to be left hand drive but the cargo doors are on the left, with none on the right. Is that common with such an early bus?

Never walk away from a barndoor in the woods!
Left drive, left load was a Swedish thing. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

Stunning work Florian. Well done.
I love the fact you even have beer crates and bottles from the original "buyer".
Greetings from South Africa! |

Just reading through this thread. This is similar to a moon landing in terms of planning and execution. I love the helicopter rescue at the start of it, followed by the makeshift lift when the pilot couldn't get it on the trailer. Never seen anything remotely like this.
I am very interested to see how you go about fixing the roof. I have a similar problem on an old car I am restoring, where the roof is caved in like that. Any rate, will watch for updates.
Really amazing and inspirational work going on here.

For the green 52 I will probably make a movie only once on the road, featuring the rescue and the restoration in the same time.

Thanks ! Indeed I managed to find some very cool period goodies from the first owner company. Will receive a new batch of them next week
I will show them once the bus is done and the items in situation |

Sorry if this is a dumb question but where is the semaphore on the left hand side? |

Thanks for the nice words
Caleb0101 : this is because I replaced the original B pillar by a NOS 55-61 B-pillar without semaphore hole. I will have to graft the original section on it |

WOW. I just read this entire thread. I saw the rescue video a year ago, but did not know about this thread. I am blown away. |
