Yeah, IG is convenient for timebased posting. Unfortunately, I think it sucks the energy out of forums and other media
Nothing beats thesamba for topical discussions and collections of info, though!

Well said Jack. I couldn't agree more but after saying that I mainly post on IG and have never started a thread on my bus. I do check in on TheSamba multiple times a day still and occasionally post something.
Oh and I can't imagine your bus looking more awesome than it does right now. _________________ 58 Coral Red ragtop(Diana's car)

Get a haircut hippy!
Bus looks great as always. I do most of my photo posting on IG as well as its just much more convenient. I think if TheSamba.com supported an app like tapatalk that supported posting images directly from your phone I would do more photo posting here. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

Haha, that's me, hippy jack!
Yeah, if I didn't work on the computer all day, I'd probably, only, use my iPhone for browsing, etc. Tapatalk would help with that, for sure.
Joey, you should start a thread on your bus. I'd LOVE to see some before pics of that beauty!!!
Thanks for the compliments, all. _________________ Jack Stenner

Your bus looks killer Jack, love the time lapse videos.
I have learned so much info from this site over the last few years and met some great folks here as well. I hope the forums can stay alive. IG is ok and all, but I still prefer to sit down at home and read build threads instead of just a picture here, a picture there. I'm old school I guess. _________________ Brandon |

Back from Bulli Brigade 24. What a great time. Bus ran like a top...just perfect. I've made a lot of minor improvements in the last year. Heater hooked up and working, glass logos facing the correct direction (still need to swap 2), better mount for the license plate (deck still drilled for Euro plates only), correct D weight tag arrived, etc. Need to rebuild the bastard motor, but when the current motor is running this good, it's hard to feel pressured.
Some pics from Bulli weekend...I'm partial to the Ft DeSoto camping portion:

Love the fact you use it for what it was intended for. I miss the camping. Might have to join you guys next year at the fort. _________________ SOUTHERN INTEGRITY AIRCOOLERS

Thanks Paul. I'm hoping for the 25th Anniversary, if they find another locale, it will unify the camping with the show location again. _________________ Jack Stenner

Rainy day on the east coast and realized I haven’t posted anything since Bulli Brigade last year (2017). Still in love with my baby
Florida stuff in the last year. Horne's is still hanging on, but RIP Gainesville icons, WGGG and the Florida Motel
Improvements over the past year: finally found some somewhat close gold trim and installed it. As luck would have it, I get to remove it to install Axel’s NOS stuff soon. No complaints, though!
We got Lorne’s first car and Bulli Brigade I attendee, Rosie the California Roadrunner Camper, on the road after 20+ years. Aaron was thrilled to see it again:
As always, Bulli Brigade weekend was the highlight of the year:
Prime directive is to get that bastard rebuilt…just gotta sell some stuff. _________________ Jack Stenner

Thanks Greg! Rosie is a WIP, but we’ll get there!
I spit my coffee when I saw the samba notification, lol. It was the day before payday and we’re maxed for Christmas, so I was sweating bullets he’d be out before I got my order placed. _________________ Jack Stenner
