Well, my EMPI hex bar was giving me some attitude so I emailed Pete desperately to get his new twin pulley system, and I'm so glad I did. Me and Robbo had a blast installing it.
Also I decided that I really need to get rid the CB#3604 exhaust; it has burned me for the last godamn time.
I didn't get a picture of the finished product, because I'm lazy. But this linkage is the future and the future is awesome. It is the smoothest my pedal has ever felt. There's still a little bit of play, but once I get the buttys bits throttle kit oh man. I will have the best throttle assembly, hands down.
Also, thanks for the cone robbie.

Full disclosure, the cone was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It reminds me of the belt. It too was almost in the wrong place at the wrong time. Two weeks ago:
"Hey Brian your belt is fraying."
"Ok man."
Last week:
"Hey Brian your belt is really fraying. It's starting to rip."
"Ok man."
This week:
"Hey Brian your belt is...."
"Neat."

Jeez, how many engines has that belt been on? My current belt has over 10k on it and is perfect, I want to change it just because it's only a $10 part. You'd think with the amount of times he's removed the engine in the past year, he'd notice that...

Actually, it's how many engines has that belt seen. And the answer is three. But yea, the new one I put on is still the wrong size.
Also I finally took pictures of the synclync installed, and we got the buttys bits kit installed and holy cow that is the best throttle assembly setup ever. _________________ Wash your hands

So the only thing is, the pedal is too tight. But that's because I don't have the right springs in the right spot.
Also I got pissed at the part that you clamp down onto the cable because I thought there the wrong screw was put in it. But it turns out that I had hand threaded the screw in upside down
So overall on the Sync Lync kit, the only thing that disjointed me was that that the allen heads weren't in metric. Other than that, it's amazing. _________________ Wash your hands

Since you want to go dual oil bath, check the VW Gol from Brazil... Front engine air-cooled 1300 (single carb) or 1600 (dual carb):

I don't think it would be too hard to adapt those. Not with my new linked though. _________________ Wash your hands

In this pic it looks like you're about to loose the retaining pin.
And in this pic it looks like you lost the retaining pin then the pads fell out.
hmmm...who installed this system? Looks like an install problem. _________________ __________

I made sure those mofos were tight. But heat and vibration got the best of them. And when I say heat, I mean I clocked them well above 200.
Long story short, I f'd up the install by installing them. I'm back on drums now though, so oh well. _________________ Wash your hands

I'm glad you're not going off, bad mouthing Vintage Vee Dubs wouldn't be the right thing to do or solve the issue. Sorry you had these issues, still waiting for pics on the trip thread. _________________ __________

My experience with them was not positive, but they are still nice people doing the best they can. Unfortunately I got a system that was not well made.
I'm still trying to download all my dash cam video and I think Robbie is editing his video.
Pictures don't do justice, we had a fun adventure.

I went with VVD because they're local. But I got the bait and switch too, thought I was getting some Willwoods, but got some Latest Rage stuff. Wagen's West has a kit that's cheaper and has home built parts with Willwood calipers. I'd get that, and I might. _________________ Wash your hands

So did that bolt chew up the wheel as it was departing? Seems like a job for a clevis pin and cotter pin. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
