Went and looked at the type 34 that was sold at Capitol Auto Auction in Philly this past weekend...even needing some work it still brought 7600.00 ish! Solid floors and channels, but some rinky dink welding and some rust they didn't seem to mention! Just wondering if it is staying in the Philly area?

I was wondering if it was someone on here too. I think the high bid was 7750 ish as an "if sale" but now I see it is listed as sold. I bid a bit less than that sight unseen and thought there would be lots of surprises if I bought it. I was a bit scared to see a photo with jumper cables hanging out and wondering if the car was still 6 v and they had been jumping it with a 12v source Rolling Eyes

Think the high bidder was in DC

I went to look more for my brother who over the years has bought a lot of cars from the Capitol Auto Auction in DC……before they started to put anything interesting on the internet. Looks like it started out as a white car, dash still had original paint. Interior was a little beat. Spare Tire area had rust and there was rust in the fender wells…..but not terrible. When car had been "restored" they welded in patches behind front wheels that were not so great…..but heah, when do these show up?
