This might be a somewhat silly question but since I dont have a garage I'm curious where do you guys fixing your buses? My garage is not suited to fix cars so I'm considering renting one of those public storage places and do the work there.

Any thoughts?

In my driveway, in the rain, in the dark, getting bit by mosquitoes. It sucks but I get it done. My wife is over me building motors and polishing wheels inside the house.

Yep, driveway when needed.
Or side yard (dirt/rocks)
I also had my Single Cab on my back patio under the overhang for a while, same surface as my concrete driveway.

I currently have a gravel/dirt driveway and a tiny old shack of a garage. I use plywood and a rubber truck mat so I don't wave to lay in the rough. I get by until I can get a proper garage/shop.
I'm not sure public storage will let you wrench on your stuff.

Gravel driveway, until i built my garage. You don't need a garage or perfect setup to work on stuff, you just need the want.

… Renting back half of neighbor's driveway. Don't have one myself.

At the moment much of my bus is spread out on the living room floor, in a spare bedroom, and on a covered back porch.

Yeah, I live alone Laughing

Do what I did...build a 750 sq. ft. garage with heat, air conditioning, cable, computer, TV, fridge... It's MUCH better than lying on rocks getting bitten my mosquitoes. Honestly. No kidding. I'm serious.

Some of you are real troopers when it comes to working conditions. I did restore my old Chevy on side streets painting engine in parks till chased away by guards so it can be a bit stressful.

For sure it can be done but a nicely equipped garage is a dream of mine still.

When I finally had enough of gravel, bugs, grass burrs, weather, darkness, etc, etc I had this built. It's about 85 feet from the house so I have relative peace and quiet as well. (It's since been cleaned up.)

Driveway... I have a pretty big carport set up now, makes it much nicer working in the rain and sun. I also keep a big piece of cardboard handy to lay on since its a rough surface...

Public Storage wont let you work in their units and your vehicle has to be running for you to store it their.
Try an independent storage facility.

I use a storage unit. The place is great. No electric or A/C, but it is a still great place. Especially since I can't work on it at my HOA.

In front of my house, My fav hour to work are early in the morning or after 3.00pm. In rainy season there´s a river under the DC and the flow of water is eroding the pavment near the jackstands.

What weight are the casters rated for individually?

Thought about something similar but with inflatable cart/wagon tires.

350lbs per wheel which is plenty. Move the bus around the garage with no problemo.. I can ad a few more holes on the L mounting plate for different hight adjustments for those garage doors that sit low.
