I searched the forums and didn't find much information on rear seat differences. I am trying to finish up a "family car" since I can't fit the family in my SC. The car is a 58 kombi and I have a 67 deluxe rear seat. What is the difference between the two? I know it fits, but I am shooting for an original restoration on the bus.

You are correct there is no official rear seat thread.
I went and started one:

Basic info, see thread above for more:
I'm not 100% sure on '67 rear seats as some 67 stuff is 1-year only but in general:
55 is 55 only (different rear seat bottom center leg)
56-57 (flat back seat)
58-mid-63 (humped seat back, seat base has 4 floor mounting points)
mid-63-67 (humped seat back, seat base has 2 mounting points, legs were changed when mounting points were changed)
55-67 are all interchangeable though.
For your Bus 58-67 should be ok on appearance - they will all look the same as far as I know.
