If you're talking about non-aqueous propylene glycol, I always thought it was a great idea until if found out it was flammable. If you look on the Evans website, they provide many testimonies from over the road truckers who run it in their wet sleeve industrial diesels with great results - no corrosion. So it probably would work wonders for the WBX contact corrosion issue, but IIRC they also admit on that same website that its flash-point is in the range of hot exhaust manifolds. With the Vanagon's circuitous, plastic intensive cooling system in mind, I stopped considering it at that point.

Growing up on a farm some people around filled their tractors with kerosene, none had any fire problems, no freezing either but my uncle did switch to water 4 the warm season.

I run Evans coolant in two H6 converted Syncros.
Evans is a sponsor of our race machines so it is available to me at no cost.
Works well and only sees summer driving in these vans.

Some of these coolants require a cleaning/flushing of the cooling system which is easy to do once. If you travel, you will need to carry enough coolant to fill the system in the event you get a leak or open the system. Regular anti freeze is available anywhere, mixes with water and most other products.

David's flash points are valid.
I have removed all plastic junctions from my systems, have aluminum tanks and silicone hoses.

I personally have not had Evans ignite and it has hit plenty of cherry red exhausts manifolds at the track.

I've been using a waterless engine coolant for decades, it's called "Air"...
