Thank you everyone. Was pretty cool getting it back on the road on it's own. Of course there are plenty of items that need attention but it is operable and can be driven around to the back yard. I have driven it now using all gears and the tranny seems really smooth. First is a pain to find at stop some times but it does not grind or kick out of any gears. It stops really good and has not strange noises.
I still have a few rust areas that need attention so I tackled the drivers rear inner fender. It needed the front and rear as well as the tray in the corner. Was not really that hard to layout and weld up but just took time.
Tough to get good pictures but I think you get the idea.
The before picture is nearly impossible to even view so you have to trust me that it needed to be replaced. This is not finished pic but during. It really sucks grinding in these fender wells.
And used an autocraft tray. It dropped right in.
Now I can start the body work. The passenger side needs some of the same work but I do not plan on painting that corner so I will start the body work and work the passenger side corner during down time. _________________ JLD

As usual thanks Paul.
Put the bus down by the basement Friday at 5 and started the body work. Spent Friday afternoon and Saturday priming, filling and blocking. Since the long panel had dents and waves above where I joined the two panels I got it straight enough without using much filler. The nose only needed a very small amount to fill in grind marks from finishing the welds, same with the rear corner so body work went quick.
Primer in place
I have a few more of blocked primer but no one wants to see those I am sure so here are the finished shots.
The paint is a little too bright. I am going to try and knock it down and bring some shine to the old paint but overall I think I can live with it. Much better than what is was when I drug it home. I have decided after this that I will not be blending any more sections so the sides will be as is.
A little before after action
Felt pretty good getting it painted by today but I guess I was expecting a dead on match which did not happen. The paint samples looked pretty close on the spray card after mixed but it did shoot a little bright. _________________ JLD

Thank you and good luck on the 13.
So the Paint this time is nearly spot on. In the first pictures the paint looks to be a good match but it was too green. I could not get it to photograph well and even in the shade it was not that apparent, once the sun hit it though it was very apparent. I took the sprayed section of the old long panel and my paint guy was able to get it this time and I asked him to add a flattening agent. When he hit it with the sun gun he said I can get this much closer.
Still not easy to see but this picture is of the old paint. The very lower part of the nose tells the bright color best.
And now with the new shade. The gloss tells on the new paint but the shade is good so I am pretty happy now.
Nose close up. Will put a little more white on the lower v and wipe it off to match the fade.
Long panel close up.
More new pics.

Got one of the doors today. It is pretty solid, my original door is basically an outer shell. The original does not have any dents but also probably will not hold up to too many rides. I will try and massage this one a little straighter. The Drivers door is what I am most excited to get.
Arrival.
Little rubbing.
And mounted up.
After a rubber hammer and dolly.
Going to fix my wing windows and get all the rubber installed in the frames for the front doors this weekend. _________________ JLD
