Like Mr. Coach Kline says "What Mama don't know" They do the ride through next weekend so I have to move it back this weekend.

Thanks pretty happy with how it looks on the bus.
My door frames are in pretty sour condition so I changed gears and went at replacing the lower Windshield panel Paul picked up for me at Bulli.
Thanks Paul.
This is my second one of these and this one fit really good. I also thought I found a good rattle can match for the seagull grey but it is a little too bright.
At any rate it should be dry in there now.
Been soaking my windshields all day so hoping they will clean up since that is one of the few OG glass panels that can be used. _________________ JLD

IIRC, I think it was "Satin River Rock" in Krylon Fusion that I used for the seagull grey. It isn't a perfect match, but isn't as bright. I wish there was a closer match, as paint matching it will be more difficult... Anyway, awesome work man, as always! _________________ -Adam

Thanks on the Paint color. I was going to have some mixed by the code and the only PPG it is available in is Concept. I could not see paying that much for such a small section so I gave the can a whirl. I think after it rains and stains it a little it will be close enough.
I finally got enough balls to do the passenger corner. With the rear being so smashed the metal was so stretched that the replacement lower was about a 1/4 inch short. So I straightened out the fender flange and re bent it 1/4 inch longer. This way the corner reached from side to side. I do not plan on painting this corner and will let it do some surface rusting to see if it matches up with the rest of the corner.
Day one.
Now have to do the inner rear fender and battery tray and that will pretty much finish up any body metal repair. _________________ JLD

Closing out the metal replacement on the body. The passenger side went a little better since I made the replacement panels while I was doing the drivers side.
Still have to finish this a little and install the battery tray that should finish off the body.
Also did some cleaning on the forward cargo door. I am thinking once I get the top fixed I will run this door instead of the one on it.
After a quick rub down.

Thanks Jack and Paul.
Got the battery tray welded in.
And I don't think I ever shared the trailer picture that had me really thinking what have you done idiot. I had committed to buying the bus before I saw this picture so I was stuck.
Today it looks decent, the overall look has grown on me.
Ordered up a good bit of hardware from McMaster Carr to redo the popout windows and other bolts etc. I need some better pop out glass so hoping there will be some at CTS. _________________ JLD

Have had a ton going on lately so haven't done much to the old bus and even pondered selling it to fund a really cool bus I was interested in. That bus sold so I am back in gear here. I still need the drivers door to get here and then I can really start driving it.
I still need glass but started re tapping frames and putting rubber in. McMaster Carr is the way to go buying all new screws and bolts for sure.
Also installed the tail lights.Got lucky and there was pretty much a brand new housing in one of the coffee cans in the bus so I have a spare now.

Cool man! I saw the deleted sale post for this bus and was going to come here and ask what happened! Sorry you missed out on the other bus, but glad you still have the mango... _________________ -Adam

Awesome pics Phillip! Hopefully you'll bring at least one of them out to AMS this Saturday. Do some laps around the track before sending it to Cali. _________________ Eric - 1966 camper bus

I hear ya man! Hopefully we'll see you there. Good luck with the move, let me know if you need a hand driving one or two of those cars over to the new place, I promise to go easy on them. _________________ Eric - 1966 camper bus
