|

I'm doing a lot of reading on these and they seem to be a good upgrade. AFI makes a swap kit (motor, transmission plate, flywheel, harness and ecu) I'm just looking for someone who has done it and what else would be needed to finish it
What all would be needed after the AFI stage 2 kit (http://www.alphafabindustries.com/collections/ecotec-solutions/products/afi-2-4l-le5-ecotec-swap-combo-stage-ii) to make it truly turn-key?
- Fuel system (tank, pump, lines, filter, etc)
- Motor mounts?
- Cooling system (radiator, hoses, etc)
- Clutch? |

Looks like the adapter plate for the transmission that allows it to be bolted to VW transmissions. Going off that, I'm sure the VW clutch would be used with their included flywheel. |

You may get more replies if you post about what you are wanting to do in the Samba off road section or fiberglass section. There are more engine swaps with Bajas and Buggies.
I know of several fiberglass buggies that are using the Ecotec motors very successfully. _________________ Joseph

Thanks for the tip. My bad for using the wrong forum! |
