I test ran my 2.0 on the bench for 15 min. I did not have the alt. attached to the batt, nor did I have the reg. plugged in. When I installed in the Bus, the ge. light stays on. |

Did u check voltage coming out of the Alt. with a Voltmeter?

No. Without the regulator being attached, the alternator is nothing more than a idler pulley for the belt. Alternators don't self-excite. If it is damaged, it wasn't the test run that did it. Use the Bentley diagnostic methods to troubleshoot the problem. _________________ '71 panel, now with FI
