Hi,

I'll be reassembling my BN4 shortly and would like to fit the glass ball filter from a 6v BN4.

I'd like to use, as original, a copper tubing from the T for the carb and heater to the fuel filter.

What is the correct size for the tubing and what type of flaring/nut is used at the end, where it is screwed on the fuel filter ?

Thanks,

Phil

Are you sure it's copper? Im guessing brass. Copper will get brittle with vibration.

Thanks for your replies.

It certainly has the color of copper but it is not 100%.

I went to a hydraulic shop this morning and they have the proper nipples that need to be brazed on the tubing. I'll use 6mm Cunifer tubing for its ability to take sharp curves, which is needed for this fuel line.

I recall it being copper plated steel, like the beetle fuel lines are.

I'll check when I get home but I'm pretty sure it's all copper.

Checked out two units I have. It's definitly copper. Looks to be annealed type M. Someone else can give you the dimensions. The ends are slip-fit sweat-soldered with loose coupler nuts. Looks to be silver solder.
