Here are some original early safari wiper shafts. I have collected these for different projects I have. I have noticed some differences. I wanted to post pics & see if the differences could be defined.

both sets.

This is the set on the right. This set has a flat top to the threaded area & the shaft is longer where the wiper arm attaches than the other set.

This is the set on the left. This specific one is NOS. The threaded area is fully round. The wiper shaft on this is shorter than the other set.

I am guessing this is an early to late version of these. Does anyone know for sure?

The shorter ones are later. There are also long ones with the round threads as well. The stock wiper shafts followed these same changes as well.

The three styles mentioned above will fit all '55-'64 busses and trucks.
