I bought a Westy that a PO had done a 914 transmission swap on. I bought the bus without the transmission in it, got a 914 clutch kit, Flywheel resurfaced, put it all together, and first gear in the 914 trans is gone. So I picked up a used 002 , as the 914 is $$$ to fix, and wondered if I can use the 914 clutch (pressure plate and disc) with the 002? It's a 215mm clutch so it all fits, just didn't know what the outcome would be as I know there are some differences just looking at the pressure plate.

Do you know where first gear is ona 914? Down and to the left so if the shifter isn't setup right you will never find it.
