I am selling my 2.25L engine to a guy, and going forth with my tdi.. and I hoped to help the guy with his install.. So, I'm wondering if there is any sage advice which may come in handy.. I've looked at the two systems in the manual..

Being he's got a 90, 5spd, and I've got a 91 auto they share all the same engine management, same designs.. \

It does not appear there is are any primary differences, except the differences from his flywheel bolted to his old engine, to my flexplate.

I'd assume I'm just removing my flexplate, and he's bolting on the flywheel?

Any other trickery or mods that may be needed?

The builder said something about a shimpack on the engine crank/output side?

Thanks!

Alex
