Well I have the common fuel leak at the throttle shaft bushings on my 28pict-1 carb. I have been reading up on this and apparently there are only a few things that could be causing this leak. I went out and bought a fuel pressure gauge today and I'm running at 4psi, I'm going to buy some gaskets tomorrow and try to bring the fuel pressure down to 2.8-3, if that doesn't do the trick I have read a lot about "check the needle and seat / adding a bigger shime" what exactly is this referring too any pictures I'm clueless on this, what is a needle and seat and shime? I'm trying to eliminate a few things before I have to pull the trigger and sent out the carb to volksbiz for a overhaul!! Can some one help me out with detailed pictures!! _________________ My favorite color is rust! |
