Have a project bus here that the PO must have sanded most the entire bus down and then put it out to pasture. Not really rust through any where but all surface rust
What should I do here to get back to square one
I have read about Ospho
Should I sand back down and epoxy prime
What would you guys do
Please turn in the right direction I didn't find a good previous topic on this if there is one please post it

I would lightly blast, clean, then epoxy primer.

If it is light surface rust you could also DA it down 80-180 grit then clean and prime. Either way you need to get it primed shortly after you get it down to white metal or it will start rusting on you again.

What would you blast with
Soda
Sand
Dry ice if I can find somebody local
Then what would you clean with just wax and grease remover

If the metal is in pretty good shape I would go with sand. Soda or bead blasting is better if the metal integrity is in question. Soda usually works well to take paint off without heating the metal as bad as sand so maybe on light rust it would be ok.
