I have a list of stuff for GoWesty to bring up with them. I just added an actuator.
If anyone wants to save on shipping, talk with Lucas or Taylor. They seem more than happy to pack their vans with stuff for the drive up. _________________ 89 Syncro Westy - GW 2.5, now with a double knob job

I think I'll come if I'm free that weekend, not sure ill go in the pit though. I'll be there to volunteer for the Molloy's during the week and would be happy to help set up an obstacle course. Pete I don't think McGyver would by new parts, plus didn't you cut up your credit card to fix the leak? _________________ '87 Westfalia Weekender + '86 Syncro Tintop +'02 Impreza 2.5RS

Hey Mogfesters!
I was down at the waldersee farm trying to find some ways to help them prepare for mogfest. Their harvesting the fields this week and things were looking good. I helped out for a few hours and went down to the river for a dip. Hope this makes everyone drool a bit!
Don't forget to go to:

Cheers

Anyone going there and coming back to Portland between now and Wednesday?
I need to ferry a few Unimogs to the event, looking for rides back to PDX.

Here's a copy/paste of a post I made last year, but since it's still relevant, I posted it again.
Mogfest driving suggestions for anyone heading there from the Portland area . . .
The road people typically take is Highway 99W through McMinnville and Newburg. This can be a stop and go nightmare of commute traffic in the afternoon, especially on a summer Friday. This is a real bummer of a way start a road trip weekend!
There are some alternative routes that are much more pleasant and scenic.
One easy option to cut over from Wilsonville to Newberg on Wilsonville Road that runs just north of the Willamette River. Minimal traffic, no stoplights once out of Wilsonville, and timewise prolly faster than 99W.
Another option, my personal favorite, is to is go through Willamette Mission State Park north of Salem, take the car ferry across the Willamette River (very cool), and then continue more or less due West through some beautiful rolling hills and farmlands. This takes you right to Sheridan.
Check it out on Google maps.

The Dude & I will be there in Ollie on Saturday morning. He, especially, is super excited. I am just excited to be going camping for the first time all summer since my new job started. It's been way too long! _________________ I'm pullin' into town on the interstate, I got a steel train in the rain.

Both the Mogs made it out tonight, we had green lights the whole way until Newberg.
For those taking the 99W route through Newberg, they are repaving and cutting the lanes down to one with a flagger. We were stuck there for 20 min.
I would suggest the I-5 route to Brooks, then take the Wheatland ferry, follow the signs for Amity, then Sheridan. You'll skip all the road construction, and Dundee traffic.
See you guys there!
