So today I had a few minutes to spare, and I thought I'd build up a front diff for my trusty Syncro, I'm just matching the gears to my new tranny, 5.43s... Everything was going great, had the case all cleaned up, and opened my new box of gears and... The ultimate decoupler!

Sing it with me!

One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn't belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you're absolutely...right!

In the finest Samba tradition, go to a local plumbing supply house buy the crappiest grade of water pipe you can find.....run the MIG welder with no shielding gas and weld a mild steel future failure to your gear steel shaft do same with input side of decoupler..... Proudly post photos of your fabulous re-engineering hack of a solid coupler and pat yourself on the back for a job well done! If you don't want to do it I'm sure there are others who are more than willing....possibly the guy who did the EJ22 conversion in my old Syncro Very Happy
