I wanted to be able to fit a 15" MacBook in my RMW locking drawer under the drivers seat. I'm not sure why they chose to make the boxes the length that they did, but I have no house battery down there. I got some 16ga steel, cut the top and bottom boxes all the way across and had my buddy weld in a strip of the 16ga to extend by about 3 3/4". They are not perfectly square and rub a bit when opening/closing the drawer, but the MacBook fits perfectly with no room to slide around.
