Hey guys,

I want to put a westfalia bench seat in my van. They are called z beds right? I would like one that fills the entire width of the van.

I realize one built for a bay bus is going to fit best, but is it possible to use one from another generation van? (vanagon for example)

Also, is there any way to alter my regular bench seat to fold into a bed?

find a used full width z bed. they are listed often and usually reasonably priced. it will bolt right into your baywindow. vanagon bed+no, and converting the bench seat=why bother??? also, if you interested what i did years ago was place 1970 westy interior in my transporter. closet, z bed...all bolts right in. good luck and happy camping!!

Find a 74 or 75 [USA] Westy, they were the only ones with full width beds. 68-73 were 3/4 width with a cabinet on the right. 76-79 were a little narrower with a cooler or fridge on the left.
