Took my Thing on a 500 mile round trip to Fredericksburg and back. Have to admit I was a little nervous but made it without any issues (except passenger side mirror not staying in position, had to keep tightening screw until I finally gave up and threw mirror in backseat). Was cruising at about 60 mph most of the way. Show was great, with about 300 VWs (about 10 or 12 Things).
Was nice to meet some of you fellow enthusiasts there!
Felt a little silly about all the tools and spare parts I brought along, (not to mention making my wife follow me in the F150 with tow bar). I should be more trusting in my old Thing!

My better half had a gig in San Antonio for Fiesta, so I couldn't go this year. Looking forward to the pictures.
