Yeah, I was trying to look at the lift and flares... might be an Eagle. Interesting trendsetter, if that's what it is. But dolled up with the oh-so-1970s baby Lincoln/Rolls trim at the center of the grille... yak! |

It’s a 1982 AMC “limited” Sport sedan. It still belongs to the original owner. For some unknown reason, I am still drawn to this & have been bugging him for 7 or 8 years now.

Now that right there is a long reach back into the past! Not sure if I have seen one in the last 40 years out this way, Dad used to drive one for a living, I have a picture somewhere...
I do remember him coming home with badly worn boots and fastening pieces of winter tire treads on them to fix the soles. That would be 1959 or 1960. I was pretty young.

A city? I'm not sure how slashes work, but I think you meant to write a city shuttle/tour/school bus, rather than a city itself, although it's your challenge!
Let me know and I'll see about getting started on that!
Very cool picture, btw. I would have never guessed that people are finding these "impossible" challenges to be completely doable. |

Sorry for the confusion, I was originally just going to say a city bus but wanted to include some other kinds of buses. The idea for shuttle bus came from a trip to Bryce Canyon in August:
Thanks! The truck I took a picture with still gets around promoting the local Napa store at car shows, I was super stoked to remember where they park it and find an empty spot next to it.

Doesn't count for the Challenge, since it's an old photo, but here are a couple of giants surrounding our Type 3s at the Invasion in Crescent City last June.

We really stalled on this one. Moving on.

You Americans are sucking the hind teat on this holiday! We in Canada had our thanksgiving celebrations, turkey with stuffing and pumpkin pie a month ago!

“Thanksgiving Day in Canada is linked to the European tradition of harvest festivals. A common image seen at this time of year is a cornucopia, or horn, filled with seasonal fruit and vegetables. The cornucopia, which means "Horn of Plenty" in Latin, was a symbol of bounty and plenty in ancient Greece. Turkeys, pumpkins, ears of corn and large displays of food are also used to symbolize Thanksgiving Day.”

Nothing Thanksgiving-ish left around here, that was a month and a half ago. Gardens all in in September, fields harvested by the first of October, any pumpkins left out are frozen solid and under a foot of snow. Hunting season is almost over too! Nope we are marching on... no looking back now, Xmas to get out of the way next.
Thanks for the inclusion though, nice of you!

Happy fukin Turkey Day.
I remembered at the last minute that a neighbor had this inflatable.
Up next: YVW under neon or other lights that alter the color or look of your car.
For example…
The LED street lights the city has installed turn blue or purple as they fail, & each of these lights have multiple LEDs in them that caused this zebra stripey effect. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

We have a bunch of those lights here, too. It is some kind of coating that wore off or faded away or something that causes it.
I should try to drive the Westerner under one and see if it looks funky. _________________ Dave Cook
