Current challenge: Your VW on an island (size doesn't matter, and "island" can have multiple meanings)
How about one of a thousand islands (this picture was taken on Hill Island, Ontario). You can see the other 999 islands from the tower (not really, and there are actually more than 1,000 islands):
The tower hasn't opened for the season, yet.
Bonus trivia, Wellesley Island, New York is just a couple hundred feet away from this spot (behind me is customs). The Canada/US border zig zags through the thousand (plus) islands. Canada customs is on Hill Island, US Customs is on Wellesley Island, with a small bridge between them, the border line is in the middle of the bridge:
Next challenge: Your vehicle in front of a casino, bonus points if you gamble and win big, in which case "Show us the money!"

We were outside cell service for the last challenge, or we would have stopped at the Cherokee Casino... Next time...
This challenge is almost too easy for someone around here... Not a great day for the Ghia, but we needed a test drive for the Eurovan.
So many to choose from... Civil War era or Revolution/Early Presidents...?

| Yes, it crossed ours minds for an "open" sign to be sufficient to satisfy. It would be nice to see something unique and fun, but want to keep up a fast momentum for the thread. |

I know, right? It looks like that hippo is going to pounce on the bug. That's my second favorite completion now (the first is the one with the bug & supertanker.)

Here in Augusta, with the Krispy Kreme sign, they have an additional sign "Hot donuts". Whenever they are making the donuts, the light is on and the line is a mile long. Hot grease, sugar and dough....yum!

I think they all do, unfortunately it wasn't illuminated, so I completed the challenge & DIDN"T get doughnuts.

Do people still get things altered? The only place I can think of is in the mall, and they frown on me when I drive the bus inside up past the TCBY.
Whats next YVWNT: a VCR repair shop?
