ok so I have been around Volkswagens my whole life... (I'm 29) My dad had a VW shop here in Saint Petersburg, FL and in 96 closed the doors up, do to a very bad accident while driving a VW.. long story short it's in the blood... I have owned 20+ VWs since I was able to work for my own money..

the Beetle is a 65 its in rough shape but very savable

plans are first off to just get it back on the road.. it did run and drive when I bought it (with a push start)..

I'm leaning toward a Cal Look standard

•no body chrome
•blade bumpers
•no front turn signals (ran in the place of the parking lights w/ LEDs)
•lowered (static at first, maybe air later)
•narrowed front track
•1600 to 1915 (1600cc to start with to get it back on the road)

most of the work will be done by myself.. I don't know how to weld so I will leave that to a friend of mine (Dave Perry) of Nice Rack!

On with the pics

this was the day after it got home, it did have full almost blackout tint on it..

the day after that.. I tore all the interior out of it.. to see what was really there...
