I would like to see what a '67 Bug/sedan/convertible tool kit looks like. I am not sure about the screwdriver handle and hubcap puller. Thanks for any photos.

Gallery has Bus and Squareback kits, though you can't see your details; I'm not sure if the Bugs were different.

Have you tried the "Owners Manuals" thru the "Technical" button at upper right?

The original owner's manual doesn't show much in the way of details. Hard to see if the screwdriver has a wooden or plastic handle. Thanks for any help.

I too, was in a search for an original/copy tool set for my '67. The one that came with the sedan had long since vanished but in restoring it, I had found what I believe to be part of the original set. The "U" shaped clip, metal part of the screwdriver and the 13mm socket was found to be in the "black hole" under the hood. Those parts of the original set are now placed with what I think is a copy of what had came with the sedan so long ago. Good luck...

I can answer that - plastic.

Some pics I found in the gallery

Original '65 kit (may be similar or the same, may have tools missing)
Note handle is reversible wood but '67 would be reversible plastic:

Yep, that helps. Black plastic screwdriver handle it is. I guess VW went to the smaller U-shaped hubcap puller prior to '67.

I believe the leather roll up one Everett posted is correct for 67. Here is what I have. VW logos on it all.

You could always check 1967beetle.com for what is correct. Good resource

Would the 13/8mm wrench be a Hazet brand (V-10) for a '67?

Most likely. I think it was in '66. I believe I have the original kit that came with the car.

I can answer that - plastic.

Hey, that's my car...thanks Everett. Did anyone see it featured this month in the July 2014 Vintage Special of Hot VW's Magazine?

Please post a photo of your tool kit opened up for reference here.

Here are the pics. I store the bar for the socket wrench/jack in the top of the jack. That's why its not shown. I only thought of it after I took the photo. Hope this helps.

My tool kit is like that and the wrench has Made in West Germany on one side and the word Heyco on the other.

Our tool kits are identical to the original kits supplied with each VW in the mid'50's through the mid'60's, right down to the wood handled screwdriver and properly stitched storage bag.
