The big difference for me was upgrading the shocks to konis. New tires helped as well but the shocks had the biggest effect with wind or passing semi's.

Koni's and sway bars definitely improve the ride on a pleasant day. Upgrading worn out suspension and steering is mandatory.
However nothing can stop the fact a bus pushes a lot of wind. As a barn on a Nebraska prairie all the winds have direct cause and effect regarding stability.
There is no escape.
I veer to the right (away) intentionally hugging the white line as large vehicles pass and this prevents the sudden WOOSH push pull effect more than any upgrade.
Offense is the best defense.
