I have recently purchased a 73 transporter with a T4 engine in it. Someone talked the PO into replacing the duals with a progressive at some time. While I would like to go back to duals, this isn't an option at this time. What I need to know is are the 1600 DP intake boots the same as the 4 on this manifold? The boots that are on there are in bad shape and I need to replace them.

So would the super boots, the 3 ply ones, fit a 1.7 manifold/ runners?

A 1.7 doesn't use boots unless it's got a progressive conversion, in that case yes they are the same boot as the dual port type 1.
