Should I keep the "original" stereo/antenna or delete them? |
Keep the stereo/antenna. It's fun to rock out to AM radio |

Loose the stereo/antenna. It looks cleaner that way |

I have a 1962 double cab that's just about ready for paint. It has the center mounted (double post) antenna and a period correct radio.
I'm going back and forth on whether or not to keep the radio/antenna.
Either way, I'll have a Bluetooth stereo/speakers added (hidden) behind the back seat. I have to decide relatively quickly, as it's leaving for paint on Friday. It's a pretty stock build with no lowering/ minimal mods.
What do folks think/recommend? |

I would keep it the way it is. You will still have sounds with the BT speakers yes? How well do they work? What would be the source of your music Ipod, MP3 player, phone? _________________ Somewhere there is a jar with your name on it!

For the new stereo, I'm going to box it all together under the rear seat and blue tooth it to my phone. It's more of an esthetic thing at this point. |

Fill the antenna holes now. If you jones for an external antenna someday- you can always re-drill. Meanwhile- the body shop can fill and skim coat the whole nose and make it perfect before paint.
Also, you probably know you don't need an external antenna to get good reception. An antenna you only need when listening to radio- but the holes and an antenna mounted to the body are something you get to live with 24/7. _________________
