Who's going? What are you driving? Anyone need any parts shuttled?

Our group will be going down Saturday afternoon to camp over, anyone is welcome to join us to hang out, look for the penguin balloon.

I look forward to this show every year, the camp over is great too.

I could use a good chrome rear bumper if anyone has one.

I grew up in Litchfield county...that show was a blast! Because you all have such horrendous rust there, the parts selection was awesome!

We are mighty proud of that northeast rust, only east coast of Canada has us beat.

You'd better hit the road, its a long drive from Montana.

I;ll be there for sure now. Besides, I have a couple of jump seats and a beer to deliver to someone. Wink

Yep - tent and Honda! Those who know me, know that this used to be not all that uncommon for me. Then I was on a roll for a couple of years actually bringing a VW to VW events. Laughing
PS - just read the label 12.5% alcohol content.

I haven't decided yet if I'm camping yet or not. The camper is laid up so I'd be coming in my '84 7-passenger Vanagon with a hokey temporary bed. So I'll at least be there Sunday.

Does anyone have a full-width z-bed to sell, preferably in brown?

I'm in. It'll be the first trip of more than 20 miles... Shocked

Can't make it Saturday, I'm working that night, I'll be coming up with a caffeine I.V. drip on Sunday morning. Unless... *cough, cough*

What's the etiquette for bringing an under-construction van? Do I enter it in the show or leave it in the lot?

What are you bringing, Andrew? Twisted Evil

Really glad to hear you can make it Jerry, these shows are casual, any VW is welcome. The perfectly restored cars usually don't get as much attention as the ones that show some personality. Drive yours into the show, that is if your syncro is able to drive on grass. It seems to be stuck to the streets of NYC. Laughing

I still am not certain which I will drive, I have a bit of hope for quattrosyncro but is has not been driven on the street yet.

I don't know who the beer is coming from, but that 12.5% sure sounds like what I want after this week!

They do judge each class, you can drive into the show and check "do not judge me" if you prefer.

For me, I could care less about the judging, who is to say one customized car is better than the next. If the owner is happy with it than that is their best. I just like the weekend to hang out with some of the VW guys I work with throughout the year.

Show car or not, enter it in the show. Best parking that way.
Was not going to go due to a to do list 8 feet long, but now I am leaning towards coming up Sunday. It is my day (Fathers Day) to decide right? Very Happy

Only a MKIV manifold for experimenting for Plan "B" - if you got one.

Looking forward to it. I'm considering getting a vendor space, actually... I have stacks of die-cast cars I never got around to selling, and lots of odds & ends parts.

I am going to attempt to drive down in Quattrosyncro. I first got to road test it at 4pm today. I have now puts about 40 miles on it. Hope I make it.
There are many things that still need to get done on it.
