I could use an aluminum engine case close to -1-88207 up to -1-90237, I would take the non generator stand side if available as well since that is the side that grenaded.

A good threat wich may help to find a matching or almost matching engine for your car.
But after a while nobody will go through all the posts and check out the numbers.
It might be difficult to install here in the forum but some sort of chart list would be more helpful.
In that should be a contact info, the numbers in continuing order and marked as search or offer.

Post a pic - that is not enough numbers for 1949 if that is all that is there.

1949 engine # example

PostPosted: Fri Oct 10, 2014 3:11 am    Post subject: Very Close Engine Numbers Reply with quote

I see a few comments further up, that Rich Oakley has a '47 engine, numbered 1-93082, with one half dated 21st March 1947.

This must have been from a batch of cars reaching British Forces buyers, as I have a complete '47 chassis with original engine (UK Reg: JKT 269, 25th July 1947) whose engine number is 1-93086, i.e. Only 4 engine numbers difference!

The left hand crankcase is stamped 26/11/46, and the right hand side 9/4/47. It seems these crankcase halves were made, and put in a big pile, and builders pulled them out at random when assembling.

Thanks!
