Have done business with this guy a couple of times and he's great with emails and shipping promptly. Thanks for the NOS exhaust valves! _________________ Robert in Memphis

I had Mr GAS (Greg A Sayers) rebuild my diesel 5-speed and he did a real good job and it was finished on time. It feels good and shifts well, and I don’t see any leaks.
So I guess what I am saying is that he can competently rebuild a transmission, for those who had doubts. _________________ Vanagon ’83 diesel AAZ w/Giles injection, 5spd 4.57R&P+TBD and a '78 diesel Rabbit |

Just had Greg rebuild my syncro trans for my syncro vanagon. Super quick turn around and really good communication. Price is very reasonable compared to the more well known trans rebuilders. I would not hesitate to give him my business again. I installed the trans yesterday and already put well over 100 miles on it. Shifts smooth and feels great. Very happy customer |

I bought a matched set of early bus wheels from Greg. His description was spot on and he shipped them the same day I paid. He's an honest seller that I'll buy from again and strongly recommend to the Samba community. Thanks Greg! _________________

Honest reliable dealer. I had Mr GAS rebuild my 2ᴺᴰ 5-speed and it feels and runs great. First rebuild was not a fast enough cruiser, but he sold it and paid. highly recommended. _________________ Vanagon ’83 diesel AAZ w/Giles injection, 5spd 4.57R&P+TBD and a '78 diesel Rabbit |

HORRIBLE customer service! Don't advertise if you don't want to sell
I emailed him 3 times from the ad at samba, No replies after a week!!!
I found his website and emailed him, after a days he answered will take the 2 pictures I asked for the window cranks for a ghia!!
That was on 3/24/2017 !!!!
I asked again last week... NOTHING!!!
If he doesn't want to answer or send pictures of the 2 cranks at $20 each he has for sale WHY he advertise them!!!!
here are the last emails:

I had purchased a part from Mr Gas a couple months ago in anticipation of working on my buggy. When I finally got around to installing the part there was an issue. Once I told him about it he refunded my money quickly. Great seller. I would definitely buy from him again because he is a stand up guy. Thank you Mr Gas |

Hi guys. I just wanted to take the time to recommend Mr Gas as a parts supplier.
I needed a Vanagon part for yesterday to start my road trip and Greg shipped me the part less than one hour after I contacted him for the first time via Facebook. I have been dealing with a lot of part providers in the last 10 years and I never had such a good and fast response.
Buy from Mr Gas with confidence! |
