Does someone sell a tool to reinstall valve keepers without removing heads?

Yeah, Bugpack has a tool, 7011-10, that you install inplace of the rocker shafts. You can get a compression gauge test lead, or drill out a plug to put an air line fitting into, then fill the cylinder at tdc with air to help keep the valves closed.

But that does not compress spring....

There used to be one that the end hooked under or locked to rocker arm shaft and with a little grunt you could compress spring...

In samba classified...

And Google search produced this,...

That is the exact same tool I have and it works great! I just used it last night to install some dual springs on my motor after break in.

Simply locate your nearest Bugpack Dealer. If you're having trouble doing that, Jim's Custom VW's in Columbiana Ohio can get you one.

We sell rent one that is nicer than the Bugpack design. The Bugpack one works well, but this one works better.
