It's been a LONG time since the Pressed bumper 15 Window list has been updated. But I have a Jan 1958, Vin # 3286xx to add to the list (I will fill in the 2 numbers when I have the Birth Certificate in hand). Yes, it's a keeper. The whole reason I've been selling buses is to have this bus. Only one bus left on my 'wish' list Smile

I have searched a LONG time for a pressed 15, and finally! I didn't really realize how rare they were, but only about 25 are 'known'? I must've blanked that number from memory because I knew I would find one ... one day. PS '..never tell me the odds...'

It was going to be turned into a BD 23 Deluxe, but the seller is a cool guy. He saw my enthusiasm for the bus 'as is' and I got lucky and he sold it to me. It might get bad bodywork and paintjob by me, but it will be running perfectly and back on the road for the first time in decades.

Some more pics;
BD Goodies!

Original paint peeking out. It's got this red primer all over it, and I'm hoping it comes off easily but if it doesn't I'm not worried. There's already lots of filler patches so I don't *think* it can be saved.

Lots of random parts and a narrowed beam, plates, drop spindles.. hmm.

Thanks! Smile Don't be too quick on the 'save' part as my bodywork/paint skills are amateurish, but it will be back on the road and safe.

Lots of filler on it...but the 15 is already pretty straight. (Just temp emblem placement)

Cleaned up the front floor, it's actually pretty damn nice except for the bit of goop on the driver side. Lots of red primer everywhere!

I'm already looking to sell/trade the 23 Clip and ragtop mechanism to fund parts and a possible 'pro' paintjob for this bus. The problem is, shop rates up here are insane, and not many people outside of Concept1 work on buses.

It might be cheaper to ship it to BC/Sask/Montana and have it worked on there.

Very nice. No doubt a keeper and it will be worth the wait to finish it. Congrats.

Time flies! After trying to sell her and basically trying to give her away, with zero takers, I decided to dig her out of her hiding spot.

Nobody wants her, so I gotta get to work!

I was inspired by your bus! Mine will never come close but it would be neat to have both of them driving around at the same time, what do you think? Smile

For sure! We can use them both for my daughter's wedding. (She's only 12 now, so we have some time to get them ready)

I can spend the rest of my life trying to make it perfect or I can spend some of my life getting it back on the road. I vote for the second and got to work!

Fit the vents and tacked them in, also the wheel well and inner rocker. The worst part was removing the bond from the dogleg/rocker. Yummy bondoo dust! Sorry for the ham pictures, but the shoppe was dusty...
