Have we done this yet? Just would like to know how many members are up here. I tried to search the members list but I must be doing it wrong . Also there are many members who didnt list their whereabouts. It would be cool to get together on some road trips around our beautiful state.

Juneau here. We'll be doing an interior (maybe the Dalton) / south central loop in early August for about 3 weeks. No real route plans, just hitting the road and driving for a bit.

I am not from Alaska nor do I live there but am an avid alpinist and have vague plans of driving the van out to McKinley for a summit attempt!

Los Anchorage here...sadly mostly weekend trip have been all I've had time for of late. But It would be great to have a westy campout/roadtrip. Definitely seems to be a high per ca-pita westy state.

Anchorage...but the VW lives in the Lower 48. I visit it and take it for extended drives from East to West and in between. My Outside escape vehicle, if you will.

Spenard is where me and my 86 weekender live. I'm also down for a van rally or a beer, or both. Looking at a Denali highway trip late July.

If you aspire to alpinism, or even Alaskanism, you should probably start calling it Denali Wink

That is a sad day. Looks like the fire was limited to the engine bay. Smoke damage to the rest.

Fairbanks. There are a bunch of us up here, surprised to see that I'm first to post. Here we are recently addressing my long overdue main seal and more recent tranny leak. All ready to start putting back together but I ordered wrong seal for tranny!

Lets get something going this summer. Tok to Dawson or Denali road lottery. If one person wins the ticket we all could drive up and camp outside the park together. Then we could ride in together in a passenger van. That would be awesome.
